RSA 2013 is a wrap! For anyone that didn’t make it to San Francisco’s Moscone Center to catch the show in person – or the great weather this past week – I can only tell you, you missed out. Not only did the show deliver on tracks and sessions covering all aspects of the security industry, it delivered some notable speakers including Tom Ridge, first secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and former governor of Pennsylvania; Howard Schmidt,...

While I admit, I’ve walked many a show floor for clients over the years this is a first – I’m headed to RSA 2013 in San Francisco next week. Emails about conference details have steadily filled my inbox over the past month, and I have to say the show organizers have done a really nice job of laying out the agenda. There are more angles on security than I would have thought possible – and certainly more than a few...

I recently attended Boston College’s career fair. The event was a great success with a huge turn-out of students. These students impressed me by coming fully prepared with printed resumes, knowledge of LPP’s history, good questions and they were dressed to impress (I’m a big fan of that!). As I had assumed, the majority (36 percent) of the students I met with were communication/marketing majors, but interestingly, 20 percent were economics majors – who would have thought!? I loved seeing...

Heading to work very early one recent morning to get a jump on a major project for a client, I listened on my car radio to the NPR report: "How Our Digital Devices are Affecting our Personal Relationships." I called my husband, who was still at home and I knew was still listening to NPR -- his morning ritual -- to ask what he thought of this report. "Well, I'm looking at the telephone screen so I can communicate with...

And then you ultimately ask yourself– why am I connected to these people? And where are my friends? After all,...

Image via @LanceUlanoff Last night, I reached a new milestone in my multitasking career when I followed tweets from CES 2013, the new season of The Bachelor and the BCS Championship game. It pains me to say that The Bachelor turned out to be the least disappointing of the threesome. I don’t know much about college football. But last night’s game was a bummer for all who tuned in expecting a competitive game and found themselves witnessing a slaughter instead....
