1. Freshly picked post-grads
2. Hands-on learning
5. Hard work
To start, we handpick the key ingredient for our internship program: smart, energetic, entry-level post-grads that are passionate about starting careers in PR. We look for candidates with zest; people who are ready to dive right in, share big ideas, and really spice things up at LPP.
Once we’ve selected the cream of the crop, we plop them right into the mix where they immediately join teams on great accounts and truly get a hands-on learning experience. Our interns learn by doing, and are often responsible for drafting press releases, tracking coverage, monitoring social media, and a pinch of pitches. The opportunities to learn and get involved are endless.
Toss in some training, and our interns really start to rise. Whether it’s attending an agency-wide session or shadowing a fellow colleague, we make sure our interns get what they need to be successful.
Mix in a seasoned mentor, and our interns get the support and the encouragement they need to start flourishing. Not only does our Mentorship Program help our interns acclimate into LPP’s awesome culture, but it also ensures that the skills and knowledge of successful LPP professionals are transferred throughout the agency.
Blend the learning, training and mentoring together, and our interns are half way done! The final ingredient is the hard work they exert to support our teams and our clients. Our interns take initiative, they collaborate and they get involved. And their hard work is recognized; by our managers, our clients, and by Lois herself!
Set the timer for 6 months, and voilà, we have a PR pro that’s ready to hit the ground running as an Associate Account Representative!
