One Door Closes and Another Door Opens
As someone who lives at the beach, I always hate to see summer winding down. But I still love the coming of September and the feeling of excitement that dates back to my school days - - a new grade, new teachers, maybe a new school. As an HR professional I also look forward to September with anticipation for the reliable expansion of the candidate pool - - professionals, who in September, also feel stirred by the new season and consider a possible new career move!
This September holds an elevated level of excitement at LPP – our move into beautiful space at One Beacon Street in downtown Boston. We are looking forward to the excitement and movement that the city brings including beautiful and historic scenery, easy access to networking, and afterhours delights – shopping, North End Cuisine, and many pubs – just to name a few. As we've been winding down the last days at our Woburn location, we’ve been discussing what items from our offices we hold near and dear and MUST bring to our new office. Items have ranged from a beloved picture to a trustworthy IT gadget. As the company HR Manager, I would be remiss to not point out the very most important things we bring as an organization – our people and the cultural aspects of LPP that make this a great place to work – whether we’re in Woburn, Boston, Austin or Timbuktu. Our employees are our most important assets, but it is our culture that attracts them and keeps them with us year after year.
