SXSWi 2010 anticipation builds
Having been out of the country the last two weeks, I am admittedly late in posting this. I was pleased to see that a panel proposal that we put together for next year's SXSW Interactive Festival (it was a collaborative effort among the SXSW enthusiasts here) made it past the initial review phase of the conference committee. It is now among the many equally great proposals in SXSWi's Panel Picker. Our proposal can be found here.
I have a passion for social media because I truly believe it is reshaping how companies should communicate with their buying communities and service their customers. A major focus of my energy during the last three years has been on ensuring that every one of my colleagues understands this and can deliver great counsel and service in the context of this changing environment. Because of this passion and focus, I have been introduced many times as a "social media guru", but I am quick to dismiss this label because I don't want this to take away from the many talents we have here and what we all have to offer. If anything, we are all communications gurus, and social media just happens to be a part of nearly every program we help our clients with everyday.
So, if you like the topic we proposed, we would be grateful for a vote or comment to let the SXSWi community know. Thank you in advance, and I hope to see you in Austin next March.
