TopPlacestoWorkInPRLois Paul and Partners was recently recognized by PR News for making its 2014 list of Top Places to Work in PR. We are thrilled to make this very prestigious list and to be among some very notable and well-respected brands that span the nation. LPP Executive Vice President, Bill McLaughlin, will formally accept the award at the luncheon ceremony to be held at the Grand Hyatt in New York City on September 16th. To honor this achievement, several LPPers were asked the following question: “From your perspective, what is it that makes LPP one of the top places to work in PR?” Here are some responses that we wanted to share:

It’s the business acumen, passion and support from the management and team you work with. Everyone wants to win and do it in a way that’s appropriate and respectful of available resources. – Anastasia Efstratios

Working closely with senior-level executives is rare – LPP allows a dynamic that I think is unique to other companies, where ideas coming from an intern are considered just as valuable as insight from a manager, VP, etc. – Grace Ames

Two reasons. First, having an open door policy where I feel comfortable walking into one of my managers’ offices or even a VP’s office and being able to talk to them about anything, work-related or not, makes for a great working environment. Secondly, working on small but tight-knit teams promotes an atmosphere that is open for more creativity and leadership among lower level executives looking to move up in the ranks. – Sofia Giovannello

For me, it’s the feeling that people here trust my judgment – whether it’s in providing strategic recommendations to clients, feeling comfortable to ask questions and request help when I need it, or determining how to meet my deliverables. There’s a lot of flexibility to shape how you work here at LPP, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility – and that balance really works for me. – Afshan Khoja

PR is a very fast-paced environment and anything can happen; nothing is ever mundane. LPP truly cares about their employees, encouraging you to share your opinions and taking the time to get to know your strengths. LPP also has a great work culture, and is always looking for ways to have a great time, whether it’s happy hour trivia or summer outings! – Aimee Jen

In one word – individuality.  With a melting pot of personalities, everyone at LPP is encouraged to speak up and voice their own ideas.  Not only does this provide our clients with a mix of the brightest minds and efficient PR strategies—it also makes morning coffee conversations really fun. – Zora Falkowski

It’s only my first week, but the fact that we have had Munchkins twice already sure makes a strong case for it. – Alexandra Martin

For me, it’s always been about the three C’s.  Clients, colleagues and coverage.  In the years I’ve been at LPP, I’ve personally had the opportunity to work with many cool companies and clients.  And, I’m constantly learning from the people I work with on a day-to-day basis.  Across the board, from our senior staff to our AEs and interns.  And, there is still nothing better than to see the fruits of your labor result in a great story, or placement. – Don Jennings

LPP is a great place to work because the entire agency collaborates, shares and supports each other so we can focus on the one thing that matters – doing great work for our clients. – Rachel Vitale

There is a clear, unanimous, understanding of the importance of a work/life balance. Having a great team around you means you can step away when you need to and still feel fully supported. – Dacyl Armendariz
